Checkmate: Quinta Brunson is killing the fashion game

With rising fame comes a natural assimilation into the world of fashion for many of Hollywood’s stars. Actresses sit front row at fashion weeks in New York, Paris, Milan, and London and land huge partnerships with luxury brands during their careers for a symbiotic relationship. They garner public attention- what will they wear? Who will they speak with, and which shows will they attend?

This season, all eyes have been on Quinta Brunson. After starting her career in 2014, posting comedic content to Instagram, she freelanced for Buzzfeed before working full-time as a video editor on their team. She has since written and currently stars in her show, Abbott Elementary, which many fans describe as “the perfect show.” Alongside winning several awards with her costars - for the past year, Brunson has been consistent in showing the world an incredibly unique, stunning personal style.

Brunson’s style can be described in one word: vision. Whether she is pushing the bounds with texture, print, ruffles, or color, Brunson’s styles have a vision to create intriguing, gorgeous shapes and art that you can’t forget. She completes her visions with beautiful jewelry, hair, and accessories alongside her stylist Bryon Javar.

Quinta Brunson has worn custom Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, and Cristian Siriano, and creations from Robert Wun, Greta Constantine, Gaurav Gupta, and Jean Louis Sabaji. With front-row seats to New York fashion week this spring, it’s clear that Brunson is just getting started with what she contributes to the fashion industry. And we can’t wait to see what she creates next.

Yesenia Follingstad

Hi, I’m Yesenia and I am based in Denver, Colorado. I have always loved literature, fashion, art, and the sense of fascination and wonder from experiencing something truly beautiful. I grew up moving around a lot, and through it, I learned the power of human connection. Meaningful connection drives me every day and influences my poetry and novel passion project. I love to write about fashion, art, sustainability, books, and how to make the world more beautiful. I draw inspiration from the work of Carla Fernandez, Eva Chen, and Jane Austen, and from the stories of my Mexican heritage. When I’m not writing, I’m working my day job as a Community Manager and aspiring to learn product design. In my free time, I like to participate in creative classes, visit museums, try new restaurants, and cuddle up with a good book. You can connect with me on Instagram at @yeseniafollingstad, or send me an email at yeseniafollingstad@gmail.com.
